The Platform
- Hacking, scripting or exploiting faults in a game is not, under any circumstance, permissible or allowed on any server run by The Sentinels.
- The Sentinels will neither knowingly side with nor support those that abuse their administrative power or authority over clans and servers.
- All members and visitors have the right to say what they want. However, they will all equally be held accountable for their words.

- Xfire - A freeware instant messaging service targeted at gamers, that also serves as a game server browser and has various other features
- Teamspeak 3 - Voice over IP software that allows users to speak on a chat channel with other users, much like a telephone conference call.
- Steam - A digital distribution, digital rights management, multiplayer and communications platform developed by Valve Corporation. It is used to distribute games and related media online, from small independent developers to larger software houses. Steam also has community features, automated game updates, and in-game voice and chat functionality.
Movie Battles II
- Movie Battles II - A class-based and team-orientated Multiplayer Total Conversion for Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy - completely altering the multiplayer experience in order to deliver those famous battle and duel scenes seen in the movies.
- MBII Community Map Pack - MBII maps created by third-party mappers.
Divisions
- Each division is concerned with only one game.
- Divisions are lead by a Division Command.
- Servers will, if possible, be provided for each division to use.
- Each division has its own forum with sub-forums where required.
- Promotions - and by extension administrative powers over servers - are handed out at the discretion of the Division Command
- Members of divisions must wear tags at all times when playing the game in which the division operates.
- All new members must post a topic in the recruitment forum giving various details and stating why they wish to join; A member of the Division Command will then either accept or reject them.
- New members will start at the rank of recruit and, once they have demonstrated activity, a positive attitude and understanding of the platform, will be promoted to the rank of Trooper / Private.
Active Reserves
- Active reserves are members of The Sentinels who, for whatever reason, will be away from the clan for an extended period of time.
- There is a special tab on the roster for active reserves.
- To join the active reserves simply post your reason for inactivity and, if possible, the length of time you'll be away for in the relevant forum.
- Veterans need not post their inactivity.
- You will neither be demoted nor promoted while an active reserve.
- Members who have been inactive for more than a month will automatically be made an active reserve.
- If you have not posted a reason for going inactive you will be removed from the clan after a period of several months.
- Recruits will not be put on the active reserves list and will instead simply be removed.
General
- Members found in breach of the platform will be demoted or removed from The Sentinels without exception.
- The thoughts and opinions of all members on matters concerning The Sentinels will be treated in the same manner regardless of rank or status.
- Ultimately, all decisions pertaining to the function and direction of The Sentinels will be made by The Command and, if they affect a particular division, the associated Division Command.
- Votes may be held upon which the aforementioned decisions are made. It will be explicitly stated in the voting topic whether or not the decision will be final or act as a gauge of member approval.
- While member contributions are needed to maintain the servers, they will be treated as donations. As such, contributions will not form the basis for promotion or preferential treatment. In addition, at no point will any money raised be used for anything save for that which is in the best interests of The Sentinels; namely communication servers, game servers and website hosting.
Membership
- Members are not allowed to be a part of any other clan or organization in the game their division concerns. Modifications of games resulting in distinctly altered gameplay and style are considered to be separate games.
- Members may join other clans and organizations in games outside of their division even if a separate division of The Sentinels is involved in it.
- Members are expected to act in an appropriate manner and in accordance with the platform in games in which a division of The Sentinels is present, even if they are not involved in that particular division.
- Members of a sufficient rank that are in different clans for other games will neither have any authority over lower-ranked members of The Sentinels, nor will they have administrative powers on servers run by The Sentinels in the game in which their second clan is present.
Forum Rules
- No spamming. Spamming includes attempted derailing of a topic, useless text which is clearly not in the context of the thread and spamming of links within the chatbox as well as forum threads.
- No pornography. The Sentinels is a strictly pornography-free zone in accordance with the forum provider's "Terms of Use". Posting of pornography on the forums will result in a deletion of the post or thread.
- No illegal content (warez, illegal shareware, etc.). In accordance with the forum provider's "Terms of Use", under no circumstances shall users of the Sentinels forums post or solicit illegal content, which includes but is not limited to warez, illegal shareware, CD key generators and proprietary software *.ISO and related file-types.
